Service Description

This is a 4 week course for ages 10-14 introducing proper lifting techniques, fundamentals of weight training, and concepts for muscle building. Participants will learn about appropriate loading based on age and body size with emphasis on form and isolation techniques. Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, resistive bands, and body weight techniques will be used to assist with muscle strengthening. Basic nutrition and muscle recovery information will also be provided to encourage mindfulness of developing healthy lifestyles through the adolescent years.
