Lena was born in Russia and moved to America with her parents and brother when she was thirteen years old. She worked hard to learn the language and customs while attending school and helping her parents. While attending Classical High School, she enjoyed playing tennis and was inducted into the Classical High School Hall of Fame in 2018 for her excellence in the sport.
Lena's interest in Physical Therapy sparked while attending sessions with her mother as her translator. She graduated from Northeastern University in 2007 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and has spent the past 14 years working mostly in outpatient orthopedic settings treating orthopedic injuries, athletes, neurological and vestibular disorders, and general medical conditions. She held the Clinical Director position of her outpatient setting for several years where she led a team of Physical and Occupational Therapists. She earned her Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation Certification through the American Institute of Balance in Largo Florida after discovering her passion for helping those suffering from vertigo and balance impairments.
Throughout her career, Lena has enjoyed working with athletes because of their drive to push themselves and return to the sport that they love. She continued to advance her knowledge and expertise in the field by obtaining her Personal Training Certification and began training clients independently to assist clients with maximizing performance and reaching goals.
In 2009 she met Kimberly through mutual friends which resulted in a special connection and friendship. Lena was asked to join the DPT team in 2019 and has been coaching athletes of all ages and fitness levels with her high energy, positivity, and encouraging personality leading the way.
In her free time, Lena loves spending time with her 12 year old daughter Natasha and her growing group of friends and family. She enjoys playing tennis, music, dancing, travelling and hanging out with friends. Her daily goal is to live life to the fullest and enjoy every waking moment as if it is her last!
